Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling in North Bath and Central Bristol for Individuals. Couples Counselling. Supervision in Bath and Bristol. UKCP Registered.
Do you feel sometimes that you are going round in circles? It can be a struggle to make sense of painful experiences and find joy and meaning in life. I can offer a safe space for you to explore difficult feelings with a genuine willingness to be there for you.
My name is Michelle Oakman. I am an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor working with individuals and couples in North Bath and Central Bristol. I have long term experience of working with a wide range of concerns including childhood and adult abuse , depression, addiction and struggles with self identity.
Short term psychotherapy or counselling will help you start to address specific issues and point you in the right direction.
Long term psychotherapy will enable you to go deeper. In having more understanding and containment of emotional problems, there is an opportunity to grow and feel an enhanced sense of wellbeing. As an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, I have a variety of approaches that can support you to reach a clearer sense of how you want to move forward.
If you decided to see me for an initial session we would, at your own pace, look at what you feel has been holding you back or troubling you.
Sometimes it is difficult to know, beyond a sense of unease, what exactly the problem is, but often just expressing the frustration of confusion or
ambivalence can help. You may wish to go away and think about what has come up for you or, if you wanted to start sessions, a regular time of the week would be agreed between us.
My fee for a 50 minute session for individuals is £45 and £40 for students and trainees. I offer some low cost sessions before 5pm.
My fee for couples counselling is £60 for an hour or £80 for 90 minutes. I can also, on request, offer a low cost rate for a fixed number of sessions or those before 5pm.
